Halloween with Family

Since it was Halloween and the typhoon Santi has cut off the power supply, my wife and I decided to check-in at a near by hotel (Linden Suites) that offered a Halloween party for kids. Since there were no races scheduled this weekend, and I have just completed 21K, and my wife has just gotten her 10K PR last week, then I guess we deserved a rest this long weekend.

We dressed our daughter Meekha with a penguin suit at the party. There were free pancakes and lots of prizes. The icing on the cake was when Meekha won the toddler’s category best costume.

All we did this weekend was watched TV, swim, and did a couple of weights at the gym. Don’t ask about my run, because I barely made 2KM on a treadmill. Wifey did better at the treadmill though. It was a great weekend.

The morning of All Soul’s day (today) I did 2 consecutive 5Ks with rest interval in between timing 21:53 and 22:30 respectively. I’m up and training for the Animo Run this Nov 15 and I’ve signed up for the 5K distance for the alumni category. For next weekend, Reggie, Glenn, and I will be joining me on the 6K relay on the Fit and Fire run. Its exciting to join forces with 2 of my running buddies.
