A Roadie at Last
Yes I love running and I love giving myself a boost of those endorphins. But at times when I'm in dear need of recovery, the bed isn't my thing. So, I got myself a Roadie. I'm no bike fanatic but I guess 20K for this roadie ain't bad.
Tested it, it kinda felt good riding on it (Again, I'm not familiar with bike fitting stuff) so there, I got it. So now I have two companions: New Balance 903, and my Specialized Roadie.

Congrats on your new bike! Papangalanan mo din ba siya tulad ni Marga at ang kanyang Sixto?
Levy
Thanks levy. I'm not yet sure what to name it. :) hehehe maybe ill call it Roadie. hehe...
That means i need to get a bike to now as I also have the New Balance running shoes???? Anyway check out my new blog at www.foreignrunner.com
the foreign runner - Maybe its a good idea to get one. :) Biking may be good for cross training. Its a great altearnative to commute and Its also a good way to avoid taxi drivers who's just learning to drive.. hehe.
Taki, those taxi drivers. The worst drivers in civilization! (hopefully, none of our bloggers are taxi drivers)
More seriously, nice bike. Biking is great for cross training. I'll ride about 20K on my running day off (either Monday or Tuesday). Hopefully everything is well. Have a good weekend!
parekoy! ano kelan tayo ride?!
baduy naman ng name mo! pwede ako ninang at magbibigay ng pangalan? ano ba trip mong ipangalan? girl or boy? :)
sfrunner - yeah that could be a good idea doing 20Ks on day off.
Marga - Tomorrow ba dadaan ka fort? I have plans of doing a long run tomorrow at Fort Area. Maybe we can schedule a ride next week saturday before the tnf100 on sunday? About the name, hehe baduy nga. Cge ninang ka. Have any suggestion for a name? How about Kermit?
parekoy sorry kanina ha. was at salcedo pa rin nun, mabibitin ride natin. tinamad na rin ako eventually after that gathering with the HF peeps. gusto mo next saturday before northface? daanghari tayo. :)
kermit's okay but your bike is blue. kermit is green. i'm thinking... MACHETE! :D
Hey marga, oks lang noh.. Ako nga dapat magsorry kasi bigla ko din ni-cancel. Anyway, I was thinking of a bike ride nga the day before tnf100.
I'm a go on saturday for a ride pero I don't think okay kung sobra layo. Baka malaspag ako sa Sunday. Cguro we can bike Mall of Asia and the fort, or nearer area lang muna. Tapos we can plan farther places like tagaytay after the Milo Marathon? What do you think?
sige fight ako dyan. :) MOA-fort?
Marga, okay game na tayo. Yup Fort-MOA. Ask mo din sina Joms and yung ibang kilala mo may bike para masaya. :)
hay naku si joms matagal ko nang kinakaladkad yan kaso hanggang palengke lang daw nya dinadala ang bike nya. what a waste! si bentots and si oknoy din i will make kaladkad... and also partner don. :)
I would like to buy a bike and start triathlon's but dont want to spend to much maybe between 15k and 20k at the most. Anyone ideas where I can buy a road bike?
foreign runner - I'm fairly new to bikes. But as I was asking people before where to get a bike you could check out Quiapo. I'm not familiar which particular store there. I've checked cartimar at libertad, and for a decent road bike you can spend 25K. I'm not sure if you'll be able to lower the price to 20K if you ask.
My friend suggested to check out second hand bukes from the internet. You could try checking this: http://www.sulit.com.ph/index.php/search+results/q/Road+Bike
Thanks techie, I also found out Marikina is a good place to check it out. I was at all terra today in Queson City and they have a great variety. Anyway please keep your ears open for me and let me know when you ear something. Are you going to do the milo or Menas Health? I am so maybe I will see you there. Keep fit brother.
